§ Mr. Macfarlaneasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the appointments to the British National Oil Corporation that he has approved since he became Secretary of State for Energy; and what background secured their appointment.
Dr. Mabon: I refer the hon. Member to my answer of 18th May 1976.—[Vol 911, c. 465.] Since that date Mr. I. Clark, previously a part-time BNOC board member, has been appointed on a full-time basis. Mr. F. Jones has been appointed as a part-time member pursuant to Section 1(3)(c) of the Petroleum and Submarine Pipelines Act 1975 to succeed Mr. L. Airey.
