Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Prime Minister in view of the lack of co-ordination between the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Secretary of State for Social Services, whereby the one 264W deducts income tax from persons who are receiving welfare benefits from the Department of the other, what action he intends to take to ensure that arrangements for departmental co-ordination which he mentions in his reply to the hon. Member for Norfolk, North, Official Report, 23rd May, actually function.
