§ Mr. StrangInterest in protein from hydrocarbons is centered on their use as animal feeding stuffs. Their use as human food is prohibited in the United Kingdom by the Mineral Hydrocarbons in Food Regulations 1966. I am unaware of any current developments or commercial intention to exploit protein from hydrocarbons as human food.
