§ Mr. BishopAs my right hon. Friend said when he visited the Thames Barrier site on 17th March, the Government are anxious to see London provided with full flood protection at the earliest date. I understand that the Greater London Council is examining the possibility of advancing completion of the barrier. Any worthwhile proposals which it puts forward as a result of this examination will be considered very carefully.
