§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Transport what has been the total cost of running the National Ports Council, including all main constituent costs of any sort, such as expenditure on its own programmes, wages, rent, heating and lighting and maintenance in the latest 12 months for which figures are available; and what are the projected costs for 1978–79.
§ Mr. William RodgersThe hon. Member will find a break-down of the costs of the National Ports Council for 1976, the most recent year for which published figures are currently available, in the Council's report for that year. Costs for 1977 will be available when the Council's report for 1977 is laid before Parliament on 20th June. Projected costs for 1978 are not available, but it is likely that these will be similar to those for 1977.
