§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Trade what has been the total cost of running the British Film Fund Agency, including all main constituent costs of any sort, such as expenditure on its own programmes, wages, rent, heating and lighting and maintenance, in the latest 12 months for which figures are available; and what are the projected costs for 1978–79.
§ Mr. MeacherIn the year ended 25th September 1976, the latest for which full figures are available, the cost of running the British Film Fund Agency amounted20W to £48,000. Most of this represented the fees of the firm of accountants which administers the fund. I cannot readily provide an estimate of the costs in 197879, since the level of the fees depends on the work done and they are not in any case a charge on my Department's Vote.
