§ Mr. John SilkinThe United Kingdom beef supply pattern has changed considerably since 1973: our self-sufficiency has increased and the sources of our imports have changed. Manufacturers have adjusted to this by much greater usage of domestic beef supplies. Their sup-700W plies of pigmeat and poultry have continued since 1973 to be almost entirely home-produced.
