§ Mr. Brothertonasked the Minister for the Civil Service what closed shop arrangements are in force or are proposed among staff employed on Government computer installations.
§ Mr. Charles R. MorrisNone is currently in force. The Government have received claims for union membership agreements from three of the unions representing non-industrial civil servants: the Civil and Public Services Association, Inland Revenue Staff Federation, and the Civil Service Union. The claims include junior staff employed on computer installations. In addition, the Government have received claims from the industrial692W unions representing industrial staff employed in computer establishments. Discussions with the unions concerned are still proceeding.
