§ Mrs. Knightasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what reply he has sent to the telegram from the City of Birmingham Local Optical Committee requesting urgent action over the limiting of the services now available at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital.
§ Mr. MoyleI expect to reply within the next few days when inquiries of the Birmingham AHA(T) should be complete. I will send a copy of that reply to the hon. Member. In the meantime I have already assured myself that a full emergency service is being maintained at the hospital.
