§ Mr. ArmstrongThe staff ceiling at this station in April 1976 was 159, of whom 20 were engaged on routine fire testing. The latter is now done by the fire insurance industry, and the present staff ceiling is 140, of whom 138 are in post. No further staff cuts are planned. Fire research has very high priority, so no projects have been cut out and no such cuts are intended.
