§ Dr. MabonThe search for oil and gas is largely concentrated in areas licensed in central Southern counties, the480W Midlands, the North-West and parts of Yorkshire. Results to date suggest that there are prospects of finding oil and gas in commercial quantities to supplement current oil production, but further work, including drilling, will have to be carried out before any meaningful assesment can be made.
