Fisheries and Food if he has received representations from the National Federation of Fish Fryers protesting at the demand of the European Commission that in future the British should sprinkle only wine vinegar on their fish and chips; and what reply he has given it.
§ Mr. BishopConsultations were held with trade associations, including the National Federation of Fish Fryers, two years ago on the possibility of action by the European Commission in the vinegar sector. As a result the Ministry is well acquainted with the associations' views, but the Commission has not so far submitted any proposal to the Council of Ministers on this subject.
