The repricing of the Cmnd. 5519 projections makes use of information about price movements provided by Departments for successive surveys. The information provided for a given survey applies to the expenditure plans set out in the preceding White Paper. It is not strictly applicable to earlier expenditure plans. However, the figures shown in the table provide a reasonable indication of the Cmnd. 5519 projections at 1977 survey prices.
Because of classification changes, the figures in the table are not comparable with the figures shown in Cmnd. 7049. The programmes particularly affected are indicated by asterisks. Details of the 191W classification changes are given in the public expenditure White Papers.
