§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsI am satisfied with the regulations made under the Education Acts and under the Local Government Act 1974, which cover fire precautions in educational establishments maintained by local education authorities. Other new educational buildings, including residential accommodation in universities, are covered by the Building Regulations 1976. Additional powers are also available under the Fire Precautions Act 1971.
