§ Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action the Government is taking to ensure that a final decision is reached about breaches of human rights in Cyprus when the Committee of Ministers of the Council of 81W Europe meets next in July; and what advice he intends to give the Committee that such a decision is made public.
§ Mr. JuddThe Committee of Ministers is not proposing to meet in July, but in September. When the Cyprus complaint is again considered the United Kingdom will do its best to ensure that a just decision in accordance with the Convention is reached as soon as possible: under normal procedure, an eventual resolution would be published.
