§ Mr. John GrantAdvice and assistance for organisations facing difficulties of this kind are always available through the advisory services of the Department's work research unit and of ACAS. The Department of Employment is well aware that levels of absence cause difficulties in some organisations in some industries, but it would be wrong to assume that the problem is widespread throughout industry generally.
