§ Mr. Skeetasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give the total tax revenue from the following sources: (a) petroleum revenue tax and corporation tax, (b) royalties and rentals and (c) 66W excise duty and VAT on hydrocarbon oils and express the figure as a percentage of total receipts.
§ Mr. Joel BarnettThe total figure in 1977–78 is provisionally put at about £3 billion. This is equivalent to about 7.8 per cent. of total taxation and miscellaneous receipts, as defined in table 9 of the Financial Statement and Budget Report.
