Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what has been the average selling price of four-star petrol in each of the past four years; and if he will express the figures as an index taking 1973 as 100.

Figures are not available for four-star petrol alone, but estimated average prices of premium petrol—that is, four-star and five-star—for the past four years are as follows:
