(c) No accurate information is available as to the number of hotels and boarding houses which have closed, reduced the amount of accommodation available or changed use specifically in consequence of the Fire Precautions Act 1971.
(d) During 1977 four appeals were made under section 9 of the Fire Precautions Act 1971 against notices of requirements issued in respect of hotels and boarding houses under section 5(4) of the Act.
According to the information provided by local authorities, the following amounts have been loaned to hotels and guest houses under the Fire Precautions (Loans) Act 1973 during the financial year 1977–78:
