HC Deb 31 July 1978 vol 955 cc117-8W
Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what has been the total cost of running the Committee on Dental and Surgical Matters including all main constituent costs of any sort whatsoever such as expenditure on its own programmes, wages, rent, heating, lighting and maintenance in the last 12 months for which figures are available; and what are the projected costs for 1978–79.

Mr. Deakins

The provision made in the estimates for the financial year 1977–78 and 1978–79 was £7,000 and £9,000 respectively. The actual cost for 1977–78 was £4,000. These figures do not include expenditure on departmental salaries, accommodation and other common services which would be incurred by the Department in any event in discharge of its statutory duties under the Medicines Act.
