asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement about the outcome of the Budget Council in Brussels on Tuesday 18th July.

pursuant to his answer [Official Report, 21st July 1978; Vol 954, c. 419], gave the following information:

The Budget Council on 18th July 1978 agreed on appropriations for the Regional Development Fund of 620 million European units of account (MEUA) for commitments in accordance with the decision of the European Council and 320 MEUA for payments.
