§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales how many advance factories have been approved in Wales since 1974; how many of these have been completed; of the ones completed, how many have been provisionally allocated, let and become operational, respectively; and what is the number of jobs created in those that are now operational.
§ Mr. Alec JonesSince 1st January 1974, 422 advance factories have been announced, of which 104 have been completed. 25 completed units are at present provisionally allocated. 59 have been formally allocated; 41 of these are currently operational employing 770 people and promising a further 860 jobs when fully manned.
