§ Miss Richardsonasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if, in view of the known hazards of exposure to asbestos, he will consider 982W taking steps to ensure that products made of asbestos or containing asbestos should be labelled with a warning to consumers of the danger of the material.
§ Mr. John FraserThere has been a voluntary scheme since October 1976 under which consumer products containing asbestos bear a warning label. The effectiveness of this scheme is being kept under review and the possible need for further action will be considered when the report of the Advisory Committee on Asbestos is published.
