HC Deb 27 July 1978 vol 954 cc845-6W
Q35. Mr. James Lamond

asked the Prime Minister if he supports the call by the United Nations Special Session for a world disarmament conference.

The Prime Minister

The final document of the special session stated that, at the earliest appropriate time, a world disarmament conference should be convened with universal participation and with adequate preparation. The Government continue to believe that such a conference could be of value, provided that it is properly prepared and attended by all nuclear weapon States.
