asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer by how much the index of industrial production has risen since July 1970 and since March 1974.

After adjusting for the use of delivery indicators in sonic parts of the index of industrial production, it is estimated that industrial output in recent months is about 4 per cent. above the average for the third quarter of 1970 and about 1¾ per cent. above that in the first quarter of 1974.
