HL Deb 27 July 1978 vol 395 c1058WA
Lord Avebury

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the views of interested organisations and individuals will be sought in connection with the current review of Section 11 of the Local Government Act 1966.

The MINISTER of STATE, HOME OFFICE (Lord Harris of Greenwich)

Yes. My right honourable friend the Home Secretary is anxious to complete this review as a matter of urgency. He intends to undertake formal consultations as soon as practicable. In the meantime he would welcome the submission of any views from organisations or individuals about the deficiencies of Section 11 and the kind of provision which might replace it as a guide to the formulation of proposals.

House adjourned at twenty-six minutes after eight o'clock.
