Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total share to be borne by public funds of the expenses of the two-day visit to Shetland by chartered aircraft of eight British Petroleum personnel, 25 members of the Nature Conservancy Council and officials and two civil servants, during which they are to look at various oil installations from the air.
§ Mr. Denis HowellThe cost to public funds of the Nature Conservancy Council's visit to Shetland was approximately £1,500. Public funds will bear no share of the cost of the aircraft.
