§ Mr. JuddThe British Embassy in Paris has investigated a number of cases where the French authorities have detained vehicles belonging to British transport companies because of the alleged use of false transport permits. The circumstances were reported to the Department of Transport. My right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Transport, informed the House on 17th July of the action his Department has taken.
