§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many visits were made to Brunei by units from the Hong Kong garrison during 1977 in order to exercise in a way not possible in the crowded conditions of Hong Kong; and where such exercises will be held in future, having regard to the decision to pull out of Brunei by 1983.
§ Mr. MulleySix companies from the Hong Kong garrison exercised in Brunei in 1977. Arrangements for the continued use of training facilities, without a time limit, were agreed during the recent negotiations with the Brunei Government.
