HC Deb 24 July 1978 vol 954 cc524-5W
Mr. Molloy

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what recent reports have been made to him on the Hayes-Southall bypass in the London borough of Ealing; if he will make these available to the hon. Member for Ealing, North and the councillors of Ealing council; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Horam

The Hayes-Southall bypass is likely to be included in Greater London council's transport policy and programme 1979–84.

We have recently received representations from the Greater London council and the hon. Member for Hayes and Harlington (Mr. Sandelson) relating to the safeguarding of the route's alignment and to the financial arrangements of the proposal. We have not yet replied to these representations as the matter is still under consideration.
