§ Mr. MarksLocal authorities in England determine their own targets for the reclamation of derelict land in the light of local priorities. For the current financial year the Department has allocated £2.56 million to local authorities in the metropolitan county of West Midlands as key sector finance for the reclamation of derelict land. No such allocation has been made to the London borough of Lambeth but the local authorities concerned have access to key sector funds specifically allocated for this work in London and the south-east of England. Allocations have yet to be made for future years.
