§ Mr. StrangMy Department provides funds for research and development in horticulture for work carried out at the experimental horticulture stations of the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service, for development projects on individual horticulture holdings supervised by ADAS, and for horticultural work commissioned by my Department with the Agricultural Research Council. Expenditure in 1976–77 amounted to £7.2 million.
279WSome small-scale R & D work on viticulture is conducted by ADAS at its Efford experimental horticulture station.
