§ Mr. CarterI am satisfied that the membership of health and social services boards adequately reflects the range of professional groups involved, including doctors and social workers. All board members are appointed in an individual capacity and not to represent particular 225W interests. The overall aim is to achieve a balanced membership drawn from all sections of the community and with this in mind the number of persons appointed to boards with an interest in the social services was increased when boards were reconstituted in July 1977.
