§ Mr. Leeasked the Attorney-General if he will refer to the Director of Public Prosecutions, with a view to prosecution for breaches of sanctions against Rhodesia, the activities of British Petroleum Ltd.
§ The Attorney-GeneralAn investigation is being conducted into the supply of petroleum and petroleum products to Rhodesia under the provisions of article 15 of the Southern Rhodesia (United Nations Sanctions) (No. 2) Order, 1968, and a report will be submitted in due course to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. It would not be appropriate at the moment for the director to conduct inquiries independently.
