HC Deb 17 July 1978 vol 954 c102W
Mr. Sims

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in the Official Report the number of places in community homes designated as secure in each of the regional planning committee areas at the most recent convenient date, indicating in each case how many of these places are available for boys and how many for girls.

Mr. Moyle

The number of secure places in community homes approved by the Secretary of State for each children's RPC area in England at 1st July 1978 are listed below:

Service to such extent as registered medical practitioners practising in the Service elect to use it, as some of them do. Acupuncturists are not, however, employed as such in the Health Service and, so far as the services they provide offer an alternative to medicine rather than an adjunct to it, it would not be appropriate since the Health Service is based on accepted medical practice.
