§ Mr. MacLennanThe promotion of sales by deceptive or misleading claims about the price of goods is an abuse which must be eliminated. The Director General of Fair Trading has made detailed and important proposals on bargain and flash offers which have required careful study. My right hon. Friend will announce shortly the action that he proposes to take.
