§ Mr. Alec JonesPublic expenditure on services proposed for devolution in Wales amount to about £1,300 million in 1976–77 at 1977 survey prices. As stated in the White Paper "Devolution: Financing the Devolved Services" (Cmnd. 6890), it is intended that the level of devolved public expenditure in Wales should be determined according to assessed need, relative to that elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
