§ Mr. Dell,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 28th June 1978; Vol. 952, cols. 570–1], gave the following information:
I make salaried appointments to nine public bodies, excluding advisory and similar departmental committees, the total number of such appointments being 56. Salary costs in respect of three of these bodies only are borne by public funds, the estimated total for the 12 months ending 31st March 1978 being £27,750.
