§ Mr. Spriggsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will expedite the Sutton Road, St. Helens, Sutton Road Nos. 2–4, Compulsory Purchase Order 1977; and if he will seek powers to stop the practice of agents re-letting housing property which has been declared as unfit.
§ Mr. FreesonThe decision on this order will be issued as quickly as possible. I do not think that reletting of unfit housing in an unconfirmed compulsory purchase order area justifies legislation.
