Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service has been called in to disputes between The Daily Telegraph and the National Union of Journalists, and the Newspaper Publishers' Association and the National Union of Journalists.

I understand that the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service has not been asked to intervene in negotiations between the National Union of Journalists and the Newspaper Publishers' Association. I am not aware of any dispute between the NUJ and andThe Daily Telegraph.
