§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will review the funding methods and magnitude of mountain rescue services in Wales in order to give the rescue teams reasonable financial support without bureaucratic strings.
§ Mr. John MorrisMountain rescue services in Wales are provided by the police, the Royal Air Force and by voluntary teams. The funding of police and RAF services are matters for my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for the Home Department and for Defence. I provide some financial assistance for medical supplies but I have had no request for further financial aid.
