§ Dr. SummerskillRecruitment to individual police forces in England and Wales is a matter for chief officers, who arrange local recruitment campaigns and other recruitment activities. Their efforts are supported by the national publicity campaign arrangements made by the Home Office. Provision has been made to increase the level of expenditure on the campaign by £201,000 to £793,000 for the current financial year.
