§ 18. Mr. John Evansasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he is satisfied with the future prospects of the United Kingdom turbine manufacturing industry.
§ Mr. CryerFuture prospects will depend on the level of home and export orders. At home the order for Drax B will be followed by orders for nuclear plant consequent upon the decision on thermal reactor choice. As regards exports the Government will continue to do all it can to help the industry win orders following those recently announced for Hong Kong and South Korea.
