§ Mr. Robert SheldonNo. The breakdown of the reserves between gold, special drawing rights, and convertible currencies is given in Table 23 of theBank of England Quarterly Bulletin. It is not the Government's practice to publish a breakdown of the official reserves into individual convertible currencies; to do so could hamper the Government's operations in the foreign exchange markets and impair the optimum management of the reserves.
