Mr. Lawrence

asked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) whether the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 has discouraged employers from making more jobs available; and to what extent;

(2) whether the Race Relations Act 1976 has discouraged employers from making more jobs available; and to what extent;

(3) whether the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 has discouraged employers from making more jobs available; and to what extent;

(4) whether the Equal Pay Act 1970 has discouraged employers from making more jobs available; and to what extent;

(5) whether the Redundancy Payments Act 1965 has discouraged employers from making more jobs available; and to what extent;

(6) whether the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1974 has discouraged employers from making more jobs available; and to what extent;

(7) whether the Employment Protection Act 1975 has discouraged employers from making more jobs available; and to what extent.
