asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will report on progress for proposals for assistance to companies in the service industries.

Mr. Lever

The work that my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister has asked me to do on small firms includes those in the service industries. I am convinced that there is much potential growth in this area. The measures we announced last October will help to stimulate this growth, and there are more to come.
