Mr. Jim Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he was satisfied with the provision of the meals on wheels service in the Rochdale area during the Christmas period;
(2) if he was satisfied with the provision of the meals on wheels service in the Bury area during the Christmas period.
§ Mr. MoyleResponsibility for the meals on wheels service rests with local authorities. I have received no information to suggest that the arrangements in the areas mentioned over the Christmas period were not satisfactory. If my hon. Friend has any evidence to the contrary perhaps he will let me have it.
