§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for Industry what further requests for financial assistance he has received from the Meriden Co-operative; and whether he will make a statement on future Government assistance to the cooperative.
§ Mr. CryerFor reasons of commercial confidence it is not the practice to disclose whether or not applications for assistance have been received from particular companies. Any applications for assistance received from Meriden Motorcycles Ltd. will be considered against the established criteria and in the light of the circumstances at the time.
