Friend has already asked the nationalised industries for which he is responsible to review their employment policies with a view to promoting the employment of more disabled people; and the chairmen have confirmed that they are doing their utmost to increase the number. The figures published in theGazette relate only to disabled employees who have registered. There are many disabled people employed in these industries who have not registered.
