§ Miss Margaret JacksonThe collection of ethnically based statistics was recommended by the Select Committee on Race180W Relations and immigration in its report on the West Indian community. My right hon. Friend has consulted widely on this matter and will be giving careful consideration to all the recommendations for education made in the report in the light of the views submitted.
